1.Ductile iron owes its remarkable mechanical properties to the spheroidal shape of its graphite:
tensile strength,
impact resistance,Alloy steel pipe
high elastic limit (yield strength),
good elongation.
These properties are further enhanced by control of the chemical analysis and heat treatment of the metal matrix.
2. Ductile iron maintains the traditional qualities of cast irons, resulting from the high carbon content:
compression strength,
castability,
abrasion resistance,ERW steel pipe|
machinability,
fatigue strength.
3. INTERNAL LINING:
Depending on the internal conditionof use,the following linings can be applied.
Cement mortar Lining:cement mortar lining as per ISO4179,cement can be Portland cement,Seamless steel pipe
Blast Furnace cement,SulphateResisting Cement,High Alumina cement according to characteristics of conveyed water

4. EXTERAL COATING:
Depending on the external conditionof use,the following coatings can be applied.
Metallic Zinc with finishing layer in accordance with ISO8179-1,with a mean mass of zinc coating not less than 130g/m2
Zinc-rich paint with finishing layer in accordance with ISO8179-2;
Bitumen paint,with dry film thickness not less than 70 microns;
Polyethylene sleeves in accordance with ISO8180;
Polyurethane;welding steel pipe|
Thicker Metallic Zinc with finishing layer;
Polyethylene;
Epoxy;Drill pipe|
